Travel Time: ~2–3 hours (150 km)

Morning:

• Early breakfast, then head to Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a chimpanzee tracking experience (3–4 hours)

• Trek into Kibale Forest to find habituated chimpanzees (95% success rate)

• Spot other primates like red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and birds

Afternoon:

• Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

• Optional game drive in the Kasenyi Plains en route to your lodge

Evening:

• Sunset over the Rwenzori Mountains or crater lakes

Overnight:

• Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury)

Full-Day Safari Experience

Morning:

• Sunrise game drive in Kasenyi sector – expect elephants, lions, buffalo, Uganda kob, warthogs

• Breakfast in the bush (optional)

Afternoon:

• Take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel (2 hours)

  • See hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and tons of water birds

• Optional visit to the salt lakes of Katwe

Evening:

• Dinner at the lodge, stargazing, or storytelling by campfire

Overnight: Same lodge as Day 2

Travel Time: ~4–5 hours (via Ishasha)

Morning:

• Early breakfast and drive to Ishasha Sector (southern Queen Elizabeth NP)

• Game drive to spot tree-climbing lions lounging in fig trees

• Continue south into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest region

Afternoon:

• Arrive in Bwindi

• Relax at lodge, enjoy mountain views or optional community walk

Overnight:

• Mahogany Springs Lodge (Luxury)

Activity Duration: 2–8 hours trek
Travel Option:

• Fly: 1 hr from Kihihi/Kisoro → Entebbe

• Drive: 8–9 hrs to Entebbe

Morning:

• Early breakfast and transfer to Bwindi Park HQ

• Briefing and start your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trek

  • Trek can last 2–6+ hours depending on gorilla group location

• Spend 1 hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family – observe, photograph, and enjoy quietly

Afternoon:

• Return to lodge for lunch, freshen up

• Transfer to airstrip for return flight or start drive back to Entebbe

Evening:

• Catch evening international flight or overnight in Entebbe
